remington components: backlog

Post by ghostrider »

My RIA compact prefers Remington GS to XTP, FMJFP, etc (I get FTF with those 2 bullet profiles, but it reliably digests GS - factory and handloads).

Unable to find any GS bullets for reloading from my usual suppliers & not seeing ANY bullets listed on Remington's web site, I emailed them and got this response:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At this time we are devoting all available components and resources to manufacturing ammunition to go to the market place. As soon as the ammunition demand slows down, you will begin to see the ammo and components arrive on the shelves again. Currently we are operating at over 100% capacity at our ammunition plant and turning out millions of rounds per day. We apologize for any inconvenience, but we are doing everything possible to meet the demand.

Thank you
