Granny in Newsweek

Post by KBCraig »

Granny got her gun. And got her bird. Now we can only hope that USFWS comes a-calling, and she gets very familiar with the phrase "migratory non-game species".

But I'm sure it will be the "evil gun's fault".

Someone should have told her to shoot, shovel, and shut up.

Great quote, though.

Yeah, and the area she lives in, Goshen, Orange County, New York, is not the most gun friendly in that state (although is is just a couple of miles from Orange County Choppers) and I am really surprised, considering the population density, that she could find a safe direction to shoot. As a matter of fact, having worked in the area, I'm surprised that someone didn't call the cops about the gunfire.

I sure would like to know the rest of the story.

Edited to add:

And there may indeed be more to the story - the only phone listing for a Cameron in that area (that I can find anyway) is for an attorney.

If I knowingly broke any law, I sure as heck wouldn't admit to it during a newspaper interview. (At least, not while the statute of limitations was still running!)

Well, you've got to admit it's funny. The stories we could tell about pests we've eliminated with extreme prejudice wouldn't be quite as funny, because we don't have Granny's hangups.

I'm not sure whether it's an optimistic story. On the one hand, a liberal manages to take her own side in an argument. On the other, she finds herself consumed by grief after doing so. We really shouldn't allow these people to vote.
