So I am nearly ready to start loading progressively. Station 1 is the usual size/decap. Station 2 is the powder measure with PTX expander. Station 3 is the RCBS lock out die. Station 4 will shortly have a Hornady Bullet Feed Die (No motorized bullet feed yet, but I will have a tube that I fill to keep it fed). Station 5 is seating with just enough crimp to remove the case flare. I particulary dislike this Hornady seating die (Not sure why, but my subconscious is probably picking up on something) so I will probably swap it out for an RCBS seating and taper crimp die. My planned upgrades for this press are to get a case feeder then get the rest of the bullet feeder so I can go full auto on bullet feeding. Even with the RCBS lock out die I will still check the powder levels visually.

"It's Beginning to look alot like Christmas"
Its 102 outside and I'm inside setting up a press when the song "It's Beginning to look alot like Christmas" starts going through my brain, except the lyrics go "It's Beginning to look alot like Christmas, everywhere I load." At this point I can't keep from laughing at the absurdity of that song with the temperatures we have outside. I would try to describe the environment that spawned such insanity but they say a picture is worth a 1000 words so (CLick the image for a much larger one):

How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?

Nice set-up, being a newbie reloader I am finding that time with the press is more like meditation for men...

Your bench is much too clean. You need to muss it up a bit so the rest of us don't feel like slobs. And you told the wife this would pay for itself after how many tens of thousands of reloads?

The only reason that its clean is because I took everything off so I could spread the LNL kit out and set it up. What you don't see is the pile of stuff on the floor behind me.Napier wrote:Your bench is much too clean. You need to muss it up a bit so the rest of us don't feel like slobs. As far as getting the wife to allow the press, well I'm single and between significant others ATM (Thus I have the money to spend on the press). The last lady I was dating had her own Dillon commercial grade machine, that relationship ended when she decided I only wanted her for the press (Not entirely true, I swear) ...

Well, you have no chance of being caught by a normal woman now. "He has that BIG ultrasonic cleaner...how much jewelry does he HAVE?"
