I figger fer a G-note, it outta be able to do that

Almost. Some of today's goodies are almost science fiction. These little ditties (akthough I'm not sure about this particular model; I seem to remember the ones I'm talking about going for over $1,200) use the Binden (Bindon? Bindan? something like that) sighting system. When your weapon is moving, as in tracking a target, it's a 1x scope you can use easily with both eyes open. When the weapon
stops moving, it automatically snaps to a higher magnification without you having to do a thing. Target starts moving and you're back 1x for faster tracking/sighting. Pretty darned amazing, IMHO.
I opted for the much less expensive EO Tech that uses holography to create the sight reticle. Much less science fiction-like.
