Help finding audio file

Post by Painter99 »

There was audio file link posted here on the forum a year ago or so and I would like to have the link again if possible. It was an audio file of a young lady's 911 call while the intruder was in her home. She had just borrowed a firearm from a friend that day or the day before and it ended up saving her life. I think the intruder was a disgruntled ex-boyfriend or something. Any help would be appreciated. I've searched the forum and can't seem to find it. I would like it for a friends wife to hear. Thanks ,Bryan

not sure which you mean,
it happens all the time,

Female on the phone with 911 and has to shoot an intruder, it happens all the time,

like Sarah McKinley in Oklahoma

if you recall where or more details, I might can find the specific one you mean, there are many

or is the key element you need that it was "borrowed" or that it involved an "ex-boyfriend"?

If we knew which incident it was, the audio file of the 911 call probably was on a news report too.

Here's a good thread to go with that

Kinda sobering isn't it? It would be more depressing if the ladies making the 911 calls were harmed or killed by the intruders though, I think.

There are 911 audio files of those where the 911 callers aren't armed nor prepared to protect themselves.
IIRC, one audio file of the lady killed while on 911 call was related to the case where the Police Dept/City was sued for failing to protect, and the Court said Police have no legal duty to protect individuals; that Individuals need to practice personal responsibility.. No real sense in searching for that audio file, no surprise ending .. it didn't end well for the unarmed 911 caller and the Court Case Holding is often mentioned in CHL classes.

Very true. Reminds me I need to go to the range more... Also to find a new apartment which doesn't ban firearms in the lease.
