To many WTB and not enough WTS...
To many WTB and not enough WTS in the firearms for sale forum. What's the deal?

I don't fear guns; I fear voters and politicians that fear guns.
Re: To many WTB and not enough WTS...
I posted a Romanian AK for sale here a while back that didn't sell. However, if this panic buying trend continues, I'll probably dig it out of the closet and see what kind of offers I get at a gun show.Shinesintx wrote:To many WTB and not enough WTS in the firearms for sale forum. I do not believe AWB will happen. House is still Rep and NRA is growing and more popular than ever. Everyone who has hi cap mags and black rifle would hang on those. Last visit to Cheaper than dirt, I was depressed to see any AR is marked at $2K and no one is biting the bullet. CTD had tons of AR plastered all around the walls.

I believe I express the opinion of many in this: I will never purchase anything ever again from Cheaper Than Dirt.

CTD did the same thing in 2008, and we all made the same oath then.
This is a renewal.
As for WTB/WTS, at a time when the price of all firearms are just going to go up, it's foolish to sell if you don't have to. And I suspect that many here may have an extra firearm or two to post, but they don't feel right about offering it to our friends here at the current inflated prices - so they post it elsewhere.

As soon as I hit 45 posts, I'll be posting two WTS's and one WTB. That will help even things out a little.

If it's another Ruger LCP, I will run face forward into TAM, or AndyC's boot. We'll flip a coin!

It's just an example of how cooler heads are prevailing. In any crisis (percieved or not), it's the ones that fail to knee-jerk-react that come out on top when it's all said & done. It may not be tomorrow, next week, or even next month; but things will settle down.

I have been thinking of selling a PX4 subcompact 9mm with crossbreed holster, but haven't posted it yet. Everytime I think about posting it, I think of all the posters that said they have regretted selling guns in the past and then I have second thoughts.

Back before the shooting, there was always good stuff in the Firearms For Sale section. I personally know someone who has bought many a firearm there.

I don't want to buy it, I am trying to help get his round count upShinesintx wrote:Cheater...

CTD hasn't seen a dime of my money since they were selling no-name. 380 ammo for $60-$70 a box during the great. 380 drought. They have every right to do it. I have every right to call them dirtbags and never give them a cent.

Re: To many WTB and not enough WTS...
I'm thinking about getting out of the AR world now and am considering selling. My decision has more to do with not being able to spend the time I need to spend with the platform to get where I want to be with it but also factors in spare parts and ammo availability. I'm good to go for the time being with my BCM, Aimpoint, and basic set-up, and I can get by on the Pmag stash I have for a while. However, should things go south with an AWB/high cap mag ban and ammo continue to be in short supply, I'll have a very nice rifle that I don't get to use much.
For me, it's simply a matter of not wanting to get stuck with an expensive toy that I can't get much, if any, enjoyment from. Anyone else share that sentiment?
Oh yeah, CTD has always been on my "do not buy from" list...
