Hagel Confirmation??

IIRC, the nuclear option on filibusters was avoided by Republicans agreeing to only two uses of filibusters.

Apparently, one of those was used to delay Hagel's confirmation.

I hope these are not squandered leaving the Senate no way to stop gun control bills.

GOP is still controlling the house, so how do they expect to pass a gun control bill?

I believe the "TWO" was this:

Allow the minority to offer two amendments on every bill.

That was part of the the agreement that killed filibuster reform. Full story here:
