I'm a novice when it comes to shotguns. I've shot them before but never got in to learning about them. I plan to go hunting very soon though so I am educating myself. I also hope to learn some more at the DFW Get Together.

With that said, educate me on why you would do this? Does the extension add the ability to add a couple more shells? I guess in your case since you cut it down, it add just one shell?

Sorry for the "newbie" questions.

I've been waiting for Nordic Componets to show their extension in stock for my shotgun. You're right, an extra round or two isn't much, but its nice to have.

Okay, dumb question..... What's a good all around shotgun to buy as a first one? I am not looking to cover one specific mission but cover several.

Have a +5 Nordic extension on my Benelli SuperNova. Most excellent! Gives me a total of 9+1. Always works.

Scattergun Tech has nice shotgun extensions. I got a +1 with sling mount on mine, came with new spring and high viz follower. Solid stuff. Gives me 6+1...plenty enough with a side saddle...and a bandoleer!

I just checked Midway and most of the extensions would ship in March, according to the website. The 2+ would be mid-April. You could also try Tom Knapp: http://www.tomknapp.net/store/home.php
