IWB holster for Ruger P90

I own a Ruger P90 that I carry in a Fobus paddle holster and it is a (censored - 10 yr old daughter rule). Im 6' 3" and weigh around 20 stones.

I need to find a holster that I can wear for 8-10 hrs a day without having to wear a shirt thats 3 sizes too big. Buying a different pistol or spending $100 + on a tucker holster are not viable options for me. Do any of you know of a company that makes a QUALITY IWB holster (imo Uncle Mikes is NOT quality

) for the P90 that doesnt cost a small fortune? I've been searching for the last hour and everything I find costs well over $100.

Go to your local Army/Navy store and pick up one of these....should run you about 10-15 bucks....Nylon IWB with high steel clip.

I wear mine every day without the thumb break. It is the most comfortable thing I could possibly wear and I usually have on t-shirts and jeans or shorts. I even wear it jogging in some Adidas jogging pants (the kind with the string you can tie for the waist band). I've never had a problem with it....

Glad it's working for you.

It was actually a P90 in this type of holster that changed my entire outlook on holsters. The first time the metal clip came loose from my belt and the still holstered P90 fell on the ground, I decided to be very cautious about inexpensive holsters.

I was thankful for the thumb break in that instance.

I wonder, how did the metal clip come free from your belt? I have trouble getting mine OFF of my belt. And if I have to swap the clip to the other side, which I rarely do, I have to use a screw driver to pry it free...

Maybe yours was defective?

It didn't appear to be. I still have it. It's at the absolute bottom of my holster box.

It simply pushed up and off.

I have since learned that anything less than a preimum holster is a total waste. Buying a $400-$1000 gun and a $10 holster is just wrong!

I don't see a problem with it at all as long as the holster works. Which mine does....as does my Father's....

Like I said, you're holster may have been a little defective. Who knows...

I do find the image of a holster falling all the way down the inside of someone's pants or shorts pretty funny, though.

I will not use a holster with any style of clip used as the primary device to keep the the holster on my belt.

I once used a Don Hume with a clip....one good draw while seated in the car produced the gun for me quickly...holster and all. I gave it to a friend and explained to him why.....he has forgotten more about holsters than I will ever know.....not sure what he does with it.

Most of the time you get what you pay for with holsters...the nylon ones make a great cover on the night stand IMO....I guess there is a reason more than one style is sold.

Try Gunleather LTD. on Lipscomb, just off of Lancaster. If they don't have what you want, maybe they'll make one for you.
