IDPA has decided to cancel the Rocky Mountain Western States Regional IDPA Championship because of the new gun laws.

They can pass their laws at the state level. Those of us who have a different viewpoint can express our views as well. None of the proposals passed showed any effect the first time around.

It kind of reminds me of socialism / communism these days. Even though it has already been tried multiple times the world over and failed, some still think they can do it better if only everyone else would cooperate. :banghead:

One good thing about these laws; we're finding out who our friends are and who is the enemy.

I was reading a story on another interwebz site about there being a list of 20,000,000 friends and donors to king george er barry's new group Organizing For Action. This list needs to be made public.Imagine the possibilities! Almost endless!

I wonder if any of the feel good politicians are yet saying, "OH NO, we did not think this would happen."

Are you kidding? IDPA canceling a meet does nothing to the politicians that passed the laws. Only the small businesses that would have made a profit from the participants will be hurt.

Maybe the small business owners will get off their duff and work to change CO back to a pleasent place for folks like us to spend our disposable income.

I agree with this 100%. The citizens of CO must be the ones who reverse the madness that is spewing from their legislature. This will not happen until businesses that depend on shooters/sportsmen feel some ill effects. When their silly laws hurt the local economy, maybe.............just maybe, some of the sheep will wake up. When IDPA cancels a match, only a few businesses are hurt by it. When I don't elk hunt CO anymore, a few more are hurt by it. When a slew of Texas hunters move to NM, UT, WY, & MT, and don't spend their $$ in CO, it starts to hurt the local economy.

I'm proud to be an active member of IDPA. :tiphat: to them for making this statement.
