Iron Lady Dies

Post by C-dub »

I don't have a link yet. I just heard it on the news that she has died and did a search and there isn't anything written yet. She is still the only woman to have been the Prime Minister of Britain.

That lady was a true leader. I understand its all part of life that we must all pass someday, but the world is a bit poorer for her passing.

Godspeed, PM Thatcher.

I thought this was a post on a new source of reloading supplies.

May she rest in peace.

She was, indeed, one of the great ones. RIP.

I have to admit to being poorly informed and not current on world affairs...I thought she had already passed on.

RIP Ms. Thatcher. She used some of my favorite quotes:
"The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money."
"My policies are based not on some economics theory, but on things I and millions like me were brought up with: an honest day's work for an honest day's pay; live within your means; put by a nest egg for a rainy day; pay your bills on time; support the police"
"It's the Labor government that have brought us record peacetime taxation. They've got the usual socialist disease - they've run out of other people's money."
"Gentlemen, if we don't cut spending we will be bankrupt. Yes, the medicine is harsh, but the patient requires it in order to live. Should we withhold the medicine? No. We are not wrong. We did not seek election and win in order to manage the decline of a great nation.
"
If only our current batch of leaders were of a like mind....ahh...wishful thinking. Them and a majority of our American Idol, Survivor watching populace in the US.

Showtime has been running a biography of her that is a complete hatchet job, makes her look senile and addled. :mad5

R.I.P.

America today could use a conservative leader like her. I suppose Texas could too.
