Hotel Convention center carry

Post by tommyg »

I have asked this before and got conflicting answers is it ok to carry at NRA convention
I know Hilton Hotels are anti gun. Some events are at the Hilton. The convention center is city owned and can't
legaly forbid carry Please let me know if there are restrictions at the convention and at the Hotel.

Did you check texas3006.com? If he hotel doesn't have 30.06 signs or give oral notice or have the 30.06 language on the rental agreement, then it's not forbidden.

I can confirm that the Hilton Americas, next to the George R. Brown convention center is posted with 30.06 signs - I've seen them myself. Needless to say, I won't carry inside there, and I've avoided it since I've had my CHL.

Given that, I'm surprised that the NRA is holding some events there, as mentioned by OP, since it's posted 30.06.
Your best option for personal security is a lifelong commitment to avoidance, deterrence, and de-escalation.
When those fail, aim for center mass.
