I am almost at the stage that you are in reloading. Just got some Win 231 and some Remington fmj 115 gr. I was wondering where you got the data for Win 231. Lyman 49th has a 3.5 starting and max 4.1 for 147 gr tmj. I have three manuals ( Lyman,Hornady and Lee) and of course everyone is different. Hornady and Lee don't even mention 231 for 147 tmj round.

The Hodgdon online guide is a good source for W231
http://data.hodgdon.com/main_menu.asp
but no mention of any thing larger than 130 grain.
