Louisiana: Got "made" today

Post by packina45 »

Walked into a local gun shop in Bossier City today to look at an XD-45 (yeah, I wound up buying it). Wasn't sure of their policy, so left my carry piece in the console of the SUV.

In the process of looking at the XD, I turned and inadvertently flashed an empty holster.

"Where's your pistol?," the clerk asked.

"In the truck," I replied.

"Why?"

Bottom line, was told "go get your gun, you're one of the good guys, I'll get the paperwork started".

Incidentally, they threw in 100 rounds of practice ammo with the purchase. Gotta love it.

No, was at Clark's. Tried to get 'em to come off a bit on the price, no budge there, but then threw in the ammo. Works for me.

Gotcha,

Ron's was always a great place to do business. Not an impressive shop physically, but they are very straightforward.

I was in there a few months ago and he remembered my voice without even looking at me and I have not been there since I moved 8 years ago.

I never bought from Clark's but I'm glad to hear they took good care of you.

Clark's has got a brand new shop now, moved out onto East Texas Street, lots more floor space, very nice.

Ron's is a good shop as well. Never bought a gun there, but have had some minor smith work done, bought ammo and accessories, always enjoy a visit there.

Dittos on Ron's. I haven't been to Clark's, but I've bought powder and primers at Ron's.

I think he's closed on Saturdays now, which makes it hard for me to visit him.

I'll check on that for ya Kevin. I know he's closed Sunday's but I'm almost certain he's open on Saturdays. Will let you know.
