I have 4 aluminum cases that would work for handguns. They do not lock (well, i'm sure they could, but I don't have keys), but would work for storage or personal (non-TSA, etc) transport.

Zero Centurion Elite, previously used to transport oilfield gauges & tools. Foam inserts are easily replaced. One case has tape residue, another has shop stickers on exterior; otherwise, no major dings or dents.

4 are same size, asking $35/obo: approx: 6"x20"x13"
1 larger, asking $45: approx: 7.5"x20"x16"
