Hello all
This is my first post and I apologize if this has already been answered. I have a Texas CHL and I will be traveling to Missouri through Oklahoma. Do I need to store my handgun in the truck while traveling across state lines or can I keep it within reach as I do while traveling around Dallas (concealed of course)
Thanks in advance!

You are good to go. Have a look at
http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/oklahoma.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
and
http://www.handgunlaw.us/states/missouri.pdf" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
before you go. Maybe even print out a copy of those to take along on your trip.
However, don't even think about carrying if you go to Illinois!

Re: Travel to Missouri
Oklahoma and Missouri both have reciprocity with Texas. Many states have their own quirks but in general you would be legal in both states to carry with a Texas CHL.
I believe the basic political division in this country is not between liberals and conservatives but between those who believe that they should have a say in the personal lives of strangers and those who do not.
Re: Travel to Missouri
Just remember it is their rules while in their state and not what you were taught in your chl class. That would only thing you have to worry about and I second the do not think about entering IL.

Re: Travel to Missouri
Missouri is not called the "Show Me" state without reason.

Re: Travel to Missouri
I use that in my class. they are the Show Me State, but not required to show your CHL unless asked in Missouri.
