Has anyone orderd a holster from Alien Gear? If so what did you think about it and how long did it take to ship?

Thanks in advance!

Mine took less than a week to arrive. Once it took a set to my body, about three days, it's more comfortable than my Crossbreed. :tiphat:

Quality holster. Mine took a couple of weeks because I ordered when they were moving.
Very comfortable. It does not have the snap that other kydex holsters have, but the retention is so adjustable that I really dont care.

I ordered one for my full size m&p, plus a shell for my officer size 1911, sold the 1911 and bought a shield. They have free shell exchanges for life, so I sent it in to exchange it for a shell for the shield. Hope to see it next week sometime.

I say go for it. Cant find better for 30 bucks

Lets me start out by saying I know there are a lot of questions about Alien Gear Vs. the other Competetors. I was one of the people on the side of it took my order longer to arrive than normal. I stayed in contact with Alien Gear service department each day or every other day and had clear communication. I have been carrying my Crossbreed Super tuck for over a month now daily for atleast 4-6 hours daily. I have also done everything possible to break it in perfectly. I do like my Crossbreed but for the money of the Alien Gear I had to try it out.

Day 1.

The holster arrived today at 11am. Since I am off all week (we had a baby, Its a GIRL) I got to start examining it early. I took it out and gave it a good look over and compared it to my broke in Crossbreed. They are very similar in size and shape. After I compared them I took it apart. They send a bag of extra screws and washers so I decieded to do some swapping and find my perfect fit. The leather is a higher quality leather. The keydex is shaped better and thicker than the competition. I thought since the leather was thicker and the keydex was thicker it would stick out more and be bulkier. WRONG it fit like a glove.

Who has ever broke in a baseball glove? You will understand exactly what I am talking about.

I took everything off of it and took every gromet out. I started bending the leather to break it in. I worked the leather over for about a hour solid while watching the tragic news today. (another topic) I got to a place where I felt the leather was broke in better than my Crossbreed. Very flimsy but firm and very well shaped.

I put all the gromets back in and put thr clips back in and put the keydex back on and I found what tension worked better for me. I put the middle size washers and smaller screws on the top if the Keydex and the smaller screws with no washers on the bottom and took the washers out of the clips and replaced it with shorter screws. PERFECT fit for me. I also ordered a KEYDEX for my G19 which is my primary EDC.

I put the holster on and went out shopping. Needless to say I hardly noticed the holster at all. (Those who say its not there or they cant notice, We all know its there and we all feel it but who and what makes us feel it less) The holster fit perfect and it rode nice, the clips are strong and the leather was formed to me already after me working it. I am going to adjust the ride height for tomorrow but everything else was screaming, WHY DID YOU EVERY BUY ANOTHER HOLSTER?

I am very pleased with my holster and the service they offered. ALIEN GEAR AAAAA++++++++

PROS-
stronger keydex
upgraded leather
adjustable tension
extra parts
changable keydex
awesome fit
brown leather (standard)

CONS-
leather is rough on the back on the skin (i am going to sand this down) the only CON

Needless to say I am more than happy with my holster and I will recommend this to anyone, It doesnt matter if you have carried for 20 years or 2 days, this holster and company turn out a quality product at a LOW LOW LOW cost!

Based upon recommendations of other posters, I ordered a black LH for my 1911 compact EDC. It took 11 days for delivery. The quality is superb, but since I carry IWB as close as possible to 12:00 as possible and my Crossbreed Super Tuck took up a lot of real estate I found the AGH was about one inch wider than the Crossbreed. That is a non-starter for me. The additional width of the AGH appears largely to accommodate their logo. A perfect IWB for me would be one that also has leather behind the 1911 grips to prevent rubbing of the fairly aggressive VZ G10 grips on my tender skin. I don't know of anyone that makes one like that. I e-mailed AGH two days ago telling them of my concerns (essentially as above) asking them to make the holster narrower or I will have to return it for a refund. No reply from AGH yet.

When I had to deal with ct service it took about a 24 hour turn around and I always emailed them. All my questions have always been answered. Good luck with that though. Let me know how it turns out.

I've worn mine now several times out and about with shorts, jeans, and slacks. The holster disappears easily and my XDS cannot be seen. I'm going to buy another one for my XDsc soon. Maybe Santa will bring me one!!!
