WTB Norinco SKS

Post by BigBangSmallBucks »

Wanting to buy a SKS preferably a Norinco with a woodstock and bayonet. I might be traveling to Palestine in a couple of months and I'm looking for a new toy to keep me entertained. I originally wanted to buy an AR-15 but I can't justify spending $700 on a rifle right now. So if you have a Norinco SKS that you're willing to sell for the right price inbox me and maybe we can work something out.

I don't know if they are Norinco SKS' but, have you looked at Classicfirearms.com? They're selling SKS, Mosins, Type 53's, AK-47's, AK-74's, Saiga 12 gauges, VEPR 12 Gauges, and even DPMS Oracle for $599.99. They've got another AR called MMC that I think I'd stay away from but, other than that, everyone seems genuinely happy with their purchases.

Don't know if that helps or not but, hey, good luck with your search and your trip to Palestine.

Check with Al Fatah or Hezbollah when you get there... they'll probably loan one to you. :biggrinjester:

Thanks, and I was looking for more in the $280-$330 price range, I see them selling daily for that price range on gunbroker.com I just wanted to see the rifle in person and inspect it first. That is a decent deal for a Saiga though.

I might look you up when I head that way, Palestine isn't that far from Dallas.

Try the gun shows. There's always a few at every gun show. The Norinco ones are the best. They have chrome lined barrels. The Yugos don't have chromed barrels. They are also a wee bit more accurate and cheaper than the AKs, but fire the same ammo and are semi-auto to boot, too. Just feed it stripper clips and don't bubba it with plastic furniture and hi cap mags. The plastic furniture unbalance it and make it front heavy. This makes it more difficult to hold while you shoot. The high cap mags sometimes jam because they're made for the more recent Yugo imports and not for the Norinco guns. Buy it, you'll love it.

Thanks for your input, I'll try checking at the next high power gun show.
