Nice video but there is no way I would ever announce to the world that I carry.

That is a great message to have out there. "We're just living day to day lives, like you, and we carry."

Except for the fact that you don't have a clue who I am. You may think you do, but you don't.

I doubt the folks perusing the dulcimer forums or the "how to grow acron squash" forums are on any lists. Ultra_solo's point is valid. If there are lists we are vastly more likely to be on them than the Pokemon crowd. Maybe I haven't had enough coffee.

Good video. Neat, tasteful, and friendly...like most of us.

The CHL community needs more positive publicity like this.

Finding an IP address (even on a private board) isn't hard for those who know how....

...BTW, I don't know how. But I know people who do....

Yeah. I work at a place where I can get my support crew to pull an IP address in a few moments. Some external customers like to play games with our service so sometimes we need to verify if the traffic is coming from a single source. First time I was involved, I was like, "cool! Good work." Then, when the smoke clears you're like, "wow, scary stuff". And we're not even government or law enforcement.

In this world where surveys seem to count, it would be interesting to hear a focus group or a feedback group evaluate the video's message. On the surface it seems positive but sometimes "the masses" don't have the same positive opinions of things. If the purpose is to promote individual gun ownership and CC by showing that the people who do it are just regular community members, it would be nice to see if that is really the message that the public receives.

The NRA has tried to do the same thing by showing individual members as the reason behind the organization. The pols, however, continue to vilify the organization and it is difficult to see whose message is really getting through. While I'm glad to see the Zimmerman trial end the way that it did, I'm not sure that the overall situation was helpful to CC. I'd like to think that videos like this one can help to counteract some of that negative message.
