A Fort Worth CHL-holder was mad when the natural father of a 7-year old girl brought her home late after going to look at Christmas lights. When the two were arguing, the girl's father pointed a finger at the step-father, who told him he felt threatened by the finger.
Well, you can guess the rest. Murder charges filed, and step-dad has to give up his passport and CHL as a condition of bail.
When police arrived at the scene, Awde told officers that he had shot Nguyen because the man had threatened him by putting his finger in Awde’s face, causing Awde to fear for his life, according to the affidavit.

Nor, Awde told police, had Nguyen ever assaulted or threatened him in the past, the affidavit states.
“Based on your training you received when applying for your license to carry a concealed firearm, do you believe that you were justified in shooting Kevin?” Pate asked Awde.
Awde paused, according to the affidavit, then replied, “I don’t know.”
