What documents do I need

Post by Jnsey »

My 10 years will be up middle of March from my date of disposition for deferred adjudication state jail felony for theft. What documents do I need to get from the district court to submit with my application to DPS? Also what do I need to put on the actual application when asked about convictions?

Took my CHL class today and am getting ready to submit my app Tuesday. What does DPS do with our 5 years of Employment and residence? I'm having a hard time remembering dates as around 5 years ago I was changing jobs and residences.

They want to know where you lived and worked so they can check local records that may not have made it into the database.

If you don't remember your old residence addresses and don't have your old DL in a drawer somewhere, one trick is to request your credit report. I'm not sure what to do about reconstructing work history if you don't keep your W2 and 1040.

Good luck and congratulations on turning the corner.

Thanks for the info, I think I have the dates and addresses pretty close to what they are suppose to be. I submitted it last night and signed up for my fingerprints for next Tuesday. Do I need to wait till after I get them done to mail my documents or can I go ahead and submit them?

You can & should mail your documents in before you get fingerprinted.
