What to buy next?

What to buy next?
Well, the XDs .45 found a new home yesterday and of course there is a void in the safe and a little money to fill it.
So what to buy next? Trying to move everything to 9mm. Already have Glocks (19 & 26) but would like something in a single stack. The wife has a LCP which I hate but already having some .380 ammo and being sold on Glocks has tempted me to look at the G42 but I can't help but think a 9mm version be out at some point so I've put that on the back burner (or maybe not).
I liked the feel of the XDs and would consider a 9mm version but not if the trigger has turned to junk with the upgrade.
Want to stay in the $500 range. Don't like a manual safety. Don't like long heavy triggers. Want single stack. Want the best manageable recoil. Enjoy shooting guns much more than I do cleaning them (one of the reasons I like Glocks so much).
What say you?

I second the PPS.. if you look at the trigger parts, they are eerily similar to the Glocks. Difference is the mag release, it takes some getting used to, but is a good gun.Songbird wrote:Still love my Walther PPS after almost two years.

The two single stack 9mm's that I find interesting are the S&W M&P Shield and the brand new, soon to hit the stores, Remington R51.

Either this guy has tiny hands or the R51 is bigger than I thought.Jumping Frog wrote:The two single stack 9mm's that I find interesting are the S&W M&P Shield and the brand new, soon to hit the stores, Remington R51.

Re: What to buy next?
My brother has the PM9. Nice gun. Longer heavier trigger pull than I prefer but if I found a used one at a really good price I would probably pick it up. The last gun show I was at the CM9 was running about $375 before tax for a new one. Not a bad deal.howdy wrote:I don't have one but a lot of folks like the Kahr CM9

Re: What to buy next?
I watched that one earlier. Going to the gun show next weekend. Would like to get my hands on a PPS, a couple of XDs 9s (try to find one without a jacked up trigger), and the R51 (if any are out yet). The R51 sounds interesting but not sure I want one until they've been out for a while. Probably will come down to the PPS and the XDs 9 with the slight edge going to the XDs 9 since it comes with two mags and additional mags are cheaper than the PPS mags.Beiruty wrote:Pick your pill.

Need to look at the shield again - wasn't real impressed last time I looked at it.

Re: What to buy next?
I suspect my next gun purchase will be an HW30S Deluxe in .177 caliber air rifle.
Within our house/safe are more than a few powder burner loudenboomers with whom we are well pleased and acquainted.
It is now air gun/rifle time.

After reading this review I'll stay away from the R51.
