Question

Post by Duckdaddy »

My father bought a couple of handguns off of a guy we know about 15 years ago.. since then this guy has been in and out of trouble. Now my father in a little concerned weather or not the firearmes were his or not to sell.
Is there a way to check these without him getting into any trouble?
My father is a real honest man, and if they were (hot) he would turn them into the authorities.

I would not give it a second thought, but if it bothers him he could take them, unloaded and cased, to his local PD. They might run the serials for stolen, but he should be prepared to have them seized if they are, and it could possibly spark an investigation.

If he has had the guns for 15 years I really wouldn't worry about it.
