Are the anti-gun crowd would focus on the real problem not the abused tool?!!!

Someone in NY, a group in CA, and Gabby Giffords will call for more gun laws "to protect the children."

This is a great incident for the gun grabbers. They will point to this and say if he'd had a gun instead of a knife the carnage would have been much greater. At least no one died. Bet on it. This doesn't really bolster our arguments among the ignorati.

:iagree:

However, from my point of view, it proves that someone intent on committing violence will use whatever tool is available at the time. Perhaps there will start to be calls to regulate knives such as those in the UK have fought to get. It also shows to me (along with the recent Ft. Hood tragedy) the continued stupidity of "gun free zones".

VMI77 is right though. This will probably be spun to say look how much worse this would have been if it had been a gun.....

Yeah, the massacre in China resulted in how many dead? Knives and Swords do kill too, same as the surgeon scalp when misused.

Already out there at this time - from Fox News story on the subject:
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2014/04/09/su ... ia-school/
one district official expressed relief that it was carried out with a knife rather than a gun
"But I'm just glad it wasn't a shooter, because if it had been a shooter, there would have been fatalities," Cook, whose children previously attended the school, told FoxNews.com.

They have some truly ridiculous "knife control" in the UK. For instance, if you buy a kitchen knife, it will be in a hard plastic package, and you must travel directly to your home from the store and only open the package there.......so I've heard anyway. If you get caught with a kitchen knife and you're not between store and home you're a criminal. That's because no one in the UK could ever sharpen up a piece of metal and stab someone with it. They probably have bow and arrow control too, though I don't what the law is for bows and arrows in that ridiculous joke of a country.

So if that logic holds true then the next time there is a mass shooting I guess we should be glad they didn't use a bomb.

The "logic" of some people.

Sure, but that's not an argument the gun grabbers are going to make. In fact, it's probably wrong to even refer to anything they say as argument, since they're not interested in facts, logic, best outcomes, or the Constitution, but merely how they can use words to exploit and engender emotional responses that advance their agenda among the majority of those who are misinformed.
