Pachmayr Range box. (5 gun)

Post by bilgerat57 »

For sale Pachmayr Deluxe Range Box 5 pistol shelf. Bushnell Sentry II spotting scope mounted on lid. Good lens cap on the front and tube type cover for the rear. I have a key for the gun compartment but not for the accessory compartment in the back. Guns are for display only. Box is in pretty good shape, the felt on the barrel clamps is good. The original strap is missing but the handle is in good shape. I would prefer FTF but can work something out on shipping (your cost). I'm in the Grapeland Texas area, but can meet in Crockett or Palestine. I'm asking $175 for the box. It's hard to find one with any key these days. If anyone is interested I do have a 3 gun box available for $75. No scope or key on this one. Photos available.

What a pleasant surprise to see your gunbox this morning. A vintage Pachmayr is becoming harder and harder to find these days. Mine is well over 50 years old, and due to its rarity these days I am often told by youngsters at the range that they have never seen one. I have had an old-timer like yours truly recognize it for what it is, assess its wear and tear, and introduce himself, saying, "you must have competed at Camp Perry." Thus commenced another pleasant nostalgia trip.

A friend of mine had one back in the mid 70's when we both served, and I've wanted one ever since. They're great for protecting the weapons while travelling and keeping your range gear organized. Took me 15 years to find a key...*grin* Unfortunately I've run into some bad fortune so I'm parting with both of them. Hoping to sell them to someone who appreciates their quality.
