I've spent time in Venezuela scuba diving, jungle treking in the Amazon and visiting (well flying over) Angel Falls.

At the time, there was of course violence and crime, but nothing like it is now.

When it came time to leave, the airport was thronged with soldiers with automatic weapons.

The day after we got home, the first revolution staged by Hugo Chavez occurred.

He was imprisoned, but his second revolution succeeded to the dismay of most of the non-commie/socialists.

Wouldn't be allowed in this country. Many of the liberal Utopia zones already ban body armor.

After some research I guess I've been reading about prospective bans and misremembered. I have seen plenty of comment from the left about banning body armor though. This site says it has been proposed in NY. I think it was also proposed in Commiefornia, but mostly hyped by body armor sellers and probably not likely to pass.
