WTS/WTT Simply Rugged 1911 Holster *SPF*

Post by dcphoto »

FS/FT Simply Rugged Cuda 1911 holster in Oxblood. Barely used. This is an awesome holster, tough as nails, but somehow I ended up with 2.

Will trade for a kydex OWB M&P 45 holster, or $50 FTF, north Austin area. $50 + actual shipping costs if you can't do FTF.

Really nice! I like the simple design. Looks sturdy.
If I owned a 1911 I'd be interested ;-)

If you have a photo of the back side, I'd be interested in seeing it.
Just wondering whether its molded on the reverse side. How's retention?

I bookmarked the makers web site for future reference. Prices and lead times seem fair too.
Thanks!

The back side has the same amount of molding as the front. You can see a little of it in the photo with the makers mark. Retention is a function of belt tightness. If you leave your belt loose the gun will slip in an out with very little resistance. If you tighten your belt enough (also depending on position) you could easily jump and tumble on a trampoline without the gun dislodging.

I don't have any pics of the back, and I won't be around to take a pic for a while.

Is this for full size or commander? If full size would a commander fit correctly? I have heard they are great holsters but have no t used that brand.

It's for a full size, but a commander should fit. There'd just be an extra inch of space at the bottom of the holster. They're great holsters, and they live up to their name. I have 4 other holsters from Rob, so it's safe to say I'm a big fan.
