USPS Backed up

Post by stevenp322 »

Got my status change on the 27th of February and was hoping it would be in the mail today! Well unfortunately, as my luck would have it, USPS has been backed up because of weather for a few weeks. I'm in the DFW area and really don't want to have to wait an additional week or two just because of weather.

Is there anything I can do/anyone I can contact?

The wait is killing me!

Since the letters arent sent through certified mail with a tracking number I dont think there is anything you can do. How bad is it up in DFW? We had school, courts, business shut downs here although it was not bad at all. I'm in Austin, status change was 3/3 and i haven't received it yet but was told it was on its way.

If the status has changed to mailed, then it means they have sent it to the mail room to be sent out. It may take an additional few days for it to be put in the mail and then get from Austin to the DFW area. Not really anything you can do to speed it up at this phase.

3/6 - Plastic in hand!! Pretty good considering I submitted everything on the 19th, even with the late mail.

So excited, now if only USPS would hurry up and deliver my belt, oh well. I CAN STILL CARRY!

Congratulations. That's a good turn arround time. I turned mine in yesterday. Hopefully I see my plastic early next month. :clapping: "rlol"

Congrats on receiving your license. I'm jealous now, still waiting on mine...

So where is this "Status" that you speak of? When I log in to the RSD website and try to check on status, I just get a message that says: "CHL APPLICATION STATUS: If you have a pending CHL application, please allow sufficient time for processing."

What am I missing?
