I hope this doesn't become something much larger.

I hope they recover fully. These Untied States need a full reckoning with Justice.

If I were an officer working there, I'd seek alternate employment somewhere else, immediately.

Ferguson, the new Detroit.

Unfortunately I feel that this was just a matter of time, everybody cowered down to the thugs out there rioting and the media always calling it a "protest". When groups of people openly call for attacking the police and nothing is done about it then the end results are inevitable. One report I read said they feel the shots were taken from about 220 yards, if this ends up being fact then it was an assassination attempt on the officers. The morally corrupt White House and Justice Department keeps fueling this fire and IMO keeps adding to the tensions rather than eliminating it. If they put 10% of their Pro 1st Amendment stance on the 2nd Amendment we might actually get something done for us in Washington...

I hope ever cop in Ferguson leaves for LEO jobs way far away and no other's fill their spots.

Then, let's see how that works out...

My understanding, not that it matters, neither officer was a Furguson LEO.

I assume the Furguson Police Department has been overwhelmed and has sought out help from the County and other Cities.

Really sad. Anarchy is the only winner here.

I agree completely... Detroit would be better...

The "leadership" - IE judges and heads of law enforcement that created this situation have already abandoned the ship. I feel bad for good cops that were lead into this mess.

Things are ugly in Ferguson again tonight. High speed chase. I think a separate incident 10 shots fired.

If interested, you can listen on a police scanner app on your phone.

The United States is a powder keg looking for a match. We have way too many takers, not enough producers and it's completely unsustainable without fiat currency. Throw in the morons from coast to coast backed by the media and Washington that "protested" ones right to exist and defend himself from a criminal thug, and Justice is upside down forever until we the people fix it.

Nothing will ever change with the media and nothing will ever change with Washington. They both foment civil disobedience and lawlessness in support of criminal acts performed by a "special" group of humans.

The Ferguson thing isn't just about a criminal thug.. Although there are those uneducated few that are still holding that banner. Even the DOJ found rampant discrimination and criminalization of what should be civil penalties. It was a money printing machine courtesy of collusion between local law enforcement, judges, and prosecutors on the back of poor people in particular... If you're poor, you can't really protect yourself from that sort of collusion.

The thug thing was the straw that broke the camels back.

My guess is that it's not isolated to Ferguson.

The rats that are to blame are already bailing out.. At least one of them has something like 4 other jobs as attorney, judge, DA..

Already arrested someone.. with a 40mm handgun.. Where do I get one of those ? Is that the one with the shoulder thingy that goes up ?

Ha ha.. already changed the story, but the cached version has the original text:

"McCulloch also that Williams told police that he was firing at someone other than the police officers.

He said Williams used a 40mm handgun, which matches the shell casings at the scene.

Williams is being held at St. Louis County Jail."

Saw that and thought that is pretty remarkable that the officers survived cannon shots.

The "Russian" guy shooting a 40mm Bofors. Look at 2:45 to see what it does to a manikin.

40MM?

Was he shooting a "Glock 17 Austria"? That was the handgun that
the Dallas Morning Snooze reported some years back. :-)
