The investigation revealed that at approximately 0245 hours, the clerk, 55 year old Kevin Garcia, was assaulted and forced into his personal vehicle. The vehicle was then driven from the scene by the suspect in a 1999 dark gray, extended cab, Ford Ranger bearing Texas license plate CWC0189. Kevin Garcia is a W/M with white hair and a white beard. This is the second time Garcia has been the victim of a violent crime while working at Drew’s Exxon. In September 2013, police say two teenagers beat Garcia with brass knuckles, knocking him unconscious, while taking out the trash. Police say they then robbed the store.

One of those teenagers, Nicholas Bogert II was sentenced to 17 years in prison after pleading guilty to the attack in September 2014. His co-defendant, 17-year-old Jordan Krob is still awaiting trial.
