Click the link above. On the right side, click on item number 67. Start the video on the left side and forward to the 18:30 mark to hear the ridiculously offensive remarks for yourself. It's been spread to local news agencies but no one has picked up on it yet.
Hopefully it dies. Wait till the minorities start being armed with Open Carry....then they'll change their minds"
This should drive all Texans crazy and demand immediate removal of Judge Nelson Wolff and the rest of them.
Armed not dangerous but potentially lethal.

Any idea who it was that inserted their foot into their mouth? Or the idiot that laughed about it?

Not sure. Sounded like either SERGIO "CHICO" RODRIGUEZ COMMISSIONER, PRECINCT 1 or PAUL ELIZONDO COMMISSIONER, PRECINCT 2

Good grief.

Gun grabbers see a tragedy and say the inanimate object was to blame and brand all gun owners as sickos.

We should not fall into that trap.

There is no reason to witness a waste of oxygen, conclude an inanimate brain was to blame, and assume all gun grabbers are racists.

It's tempting, but it wouldn't be right.

'Course, thinking it through, gun grabbers are civil rights deniers. Racists are civil rights deniers. Nah, I'm jumping to conclusions.

There were 5 people in that court session that day. I only want to hold those 5 people accountable for their actions. Not all gun grabbers.

Got a feeling the claim will be it's no big deal since a minority said it. He'll probably get a pass.

I am sick of race being brought into just about every issue as if everything revolves around race. Wish he would have said nothing or just said wait till the idiots start open carrying or something similar.

Also, notice how quickly Nelson Wolff jumped on the idea of $250,000,000 being used from the Texas rainy day fund to restore the Alamo. He is a nanny state big spender of other people's money. Also friends of and a supporter of Straus. (as evidenced here. http://www.bizjournals.com/sanantonio/p ... l?page=all" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; )

More evidence of Wolff promoting more government spending. He wants to expand taxpayer's funding of healthcare coverage in Texas. http://www.texasway.com/organizations-elected-leaders/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

It is endless to the lengths the progressive liberals will go in order to take over and manage their subjects and then turn around and insult those they say the are looking out for.

The fellow making those comments was Precinct 2 Commissioner Paul Elizondo.

His remarks were not appropriate, but they could have been more satirical than bigoted.

He could have been commenting on racism in the Legislature. He might have meant that white folks would lose their enthusiasm for open carry once people of color, perhaps Mr. Elizondo's fellow latinos, began carrying.

I was hasty in my reaction. Mr. Elizondo may be a bigot of the highest order - or he may just be plain tired of bigotry by others. Not sure, I have no information.

I'm sure it was satirical or sarcastic (or whatever you want to call it) in nature. However, going there was very inappropriate and unnecessary. It's that kind of stuff that keep fueling the race issues more than actual racism itself. There is still racism and it is still a problem. However, trying to put out a fire with gasoline and then stoking it periodically is not going to eliminate or reduce racism.

Racism is wrong whether it be white against another race, reversed where a minority against white or minority against minority. Public figures and officials do much of the damage by stoking the fire.

(sorry for the rant. I just had to get that off my chest as that pushed my hot button)

Tough call on whether he's a bigot or he's calling proponents of OC racists or both. After all, most if not all gun control was more about denying minorities the same rights as whites by the liberals. I guess this guy has just fallen victim to the liberal mantra that liberalism comes first and foremost no matter who it oppresses.

I'm pretty sure that was how he/they meant it. It is still just as offensive in my opinion. I am a minority myself, African-American. I let my not-so pro gun african american co-workers hear it and they immediately assumed he meant the more nefarious interpretation.

No sense in playing that game. It doesn't matter.

I would not condone what was said, not even if I give the speaker and those laughing the benefit of the most favorable (to them) interpretation possible.

To make those comments in a public session of any legislature is, at minimum, gross stupidity.

And... If you feel like being "familiar" with your buddies, don't compound your stupidity by doing so in a public, RECORDED forum, on the taxpayers dime.
