Shot 100 rounds through Glock 43

Post by tms119 »

Saw it available at a range for rent. Immediately rented along with 100 rounds of ball ammo. I was a bit skeptical. But that thing had some light recoil for its size and weight. And weight is definitely the first thing I noticed. That glock is light! And comfortable to boot. It feels like they cut a glock 26 in half and voila you got the glock 43.

Now I readily admit that I am a bit recoil sensitive. After being all excited about my p938 I realized I couldn't put more than 60 rounds down range before my hand would start to shake like crazy. So with that in mind I made sure to put 100 rounds down range with the G43. Well good news is I could have put another 50 to 100 rounds before I would have had a problem with the shakes.

Accuracy was very good too. I had no problem keeping shots in the 8 ring at about 11 yards. And I dont consider myself that good of a shot.

So while I'm loving my xds.....I'm gonna keep an eye out for a g43 now lol.

Well just wanted to throw this out there. Ya'll have a wonderful day!

I like my shield but I'm kind of curious to compare the Glock 43 to it

Yea I'm pretty happy with my new xds.....but my favorite pistol is my glock 19. So I kinda want the g43 now lol. Finding the my perfect go to carry gun has been a expensive endeavor, but definitely fun haha.

I assume your XDs is 9mm, if so, how does the recoil on the G43 compare to the recoil of your XDs?

I would say the recoil is slightly less on the xds 9mm. But I have the 4.0 so I would assume that the 3.3 probably has similar recoil to the glock 43.

If you can shoot the XDS 9mm then you should have no problem with the Glock 43.

This is nice to hear.

Those that know my real name can find a funny video I posted on YouTube called "Hitler Hears About The Glock 43". It's had over 26,000 views already.

I won't post the link here because the subtitles are NOT "family friendly." :nono:

this got me watching comparison videos and it seems most say the glock43 has higher felt recoil than the shield which makes sense because it weighs less and carries 1 round less.
BUT what has me leaning towards one now is how much thinner and slightly shorter in the grip it is than the shield, which would make it easier to pocket carry.

hopefully it doesnt have some of the issues the 42 had with magazines.

As far as pocket carry goes, I would definitely say the 43 would be better than a shield, but the shield really isn't a pocket carry gun anyway (IMO)

yeah, i cant typically fit the shield in a pocket unless its deep pocket cargos and it weighs me down too.
At first I thought the g43 and the shield looked the same size but further comparisons its just a bit lighter and thinner so it might work for pocket when needed.
i'm actually quite shocked how much lighter the glock is

The lightness of the G43 really is shocking when you first pick it up. Definitely lighter than shield or xds

I was at Ft Hood this morning and they had one at the PX. A Glock 43. I snatched it up.

A life time ago when stationed at 32nd Street Pier in San Diego I would go to the Marine PX across town because they sold firearm and every other imaginable gun related accessory. Prices were always sweet! May I ask what the asking price is?

I was at the Lewisville GS today. Looked at and handled a couple, but to rich for me at this time. ($600-650) Liked the feel and size and is on my wishlist. Reports are favorable to function that I have read so far. Hickok45 on Youtube test fired three over the course of a week.
