Police: Man Injured In Shootout With Burglar

POSTED: 7:41 pm CDT June 8, 2007
UPDATED: 8:06 pm CDT June 8, 2007

FORT WORTH -- A Duncanville man is recovering after police said a burglar broke into his home and shot him.

Police responded to a call from the 200 block of Martin Luther Circle at nearly 5 a.m. Friday. The homeowner told police he woke up and found someone inside the house. The homeowner and the burglar then shot at each other.

Police said they later found the suspect wounded in a nearby field.

The homeowner will not be charged, according to police, because they deemed it a case of self-defense.
Glad they got the burglar. Hope the homeowner makes a quick and full recovery.

"The homeowner will not be charged, according to police, because they deemed it a case of self-defense."

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
