Robber Shot and Killed at Benihana

Post by Keith B »

From the story, it sounds as if one of the victims had their CHL and pulled their weapon to defend themselves, killing one of the robbers.

Says he pulled his gun from his car so he may or may not have a chl. Glad he stood up for himself.

This sounds like a good example when the antis say "Why do you need a gun in Benihanas?" I don't need a gun in the restaurant, but I have to cross the parking lot both ways, and that's usually where the threat is.

You might need one in the restaurant too. Remember Luby's...SanYsidro Mc Donalds, Cracker Barrel, etc.

Sounds like the attempted robbery was in the parking lot, and I am guessing right at the would-be victim's car:
Witnesses told police that two people were leaving the Benihana restaurant in the 7700 block of Banner Drive at 10:05 p.m. when a 28-year-old man asked them for a lighter, pulled a mask over his face and drew a gun.
