I am in the exact same boat. I took my class with 3 others. The 3 got it the same day, mine is still in the air :-(

You are suppose to send in your supporting documents to DPS via online upload or mail...Here is the email I received once I did my CHL application online and paid applicable fees:
This email confirms you have submitted an online application. Below is a copy of the checklist of items required to complete your application. If you have already submitted the required items, please do not send additional copies.
Once all required items are received by RSD, please allow sufficient time for processing. If additional items are required, you will be notified by mail to your address of record.
Below is your checklist of required supporting documentation:
• Electronic fingerprints submitted using FAST (for more information regarding fingerprint services visit the Regulatory Services Division website at: http://www.dps.texas.gov/RSD/CHL/index.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
• CHL-6 is required if applicant does not hold a Texas DL or ID Card. Out of State applicants must submit a copy of their state DL or ID Card
• NOTE for Texas DL/ID holders: The Texas DL or ID photo on file with the Department will be used for the CHL
• CHL-100 Training Form (received from CHL instructor upon course completion); Military range scores, from within the preceding 5 years of your CHL application, can be used in place of the proficiency portion of the CHL-100 (GC §411.1881)
• Copy of applicant's military ID
• Copy of current leave earnings statement; OR Current orders; OR Current pay stub; OR Letter from the commanding officer; OR DD-214 (Member-4) showing honorable discharge and date (If application is within 365 days of discharge)

If you have not already done so, please submit all items listed above (if any) at one time by secured emailto RSD or by mail to:

You have to send in your CHL-100 in via email to prove you took and passed the course. You also have to pay the required fees in order for DPS to start processing your application.
2/26-Mailed paper app and packet.
5/20-Plastic in hand.
83 days mailbox to mailbox.

I already payed my dues and sent in the paper showing I took the class. Texas really needs to streamline the process, in other states it is cheaper and a lot faster.

Your posts seem to contradict each other. Why not just call DPS to get an official answer from the source of licenses? My CHL was delivered with 2 weeks after all paperwork was received.

Also, shouldn't this post be in the waiting room forum?

I don't want to speak for the OP and I may be wrong, but the way I read it initially was that he was asking about the fingerprints and if they sent them to DPS or did he have to send proof of getting the fingerprinting done. Again, I may be wrong, but that's the way I took it. :tiphat:
