Homeowner returns to find house ransacked and his dog shot in the face

Dog is out of surgery and is suspected to survive.

This was posted on Facebook by one of my big anti-gun facebook friends. This happened in broad daylight on her quiet safe Overland Park, Kansas street, just down from her own home.

In this one case, she for some reason did not blame the gun, but wondered what sort of person would do this. Exactly.

The news article reported that a car was seen in front of the house with Missouri plates. That's Kansas City code words for something I won't discuss.

A lot of my anti gun friends live in the Kansas City metro area, but all live on the Kansas side with all its awful gun freedoms they complain so much about and not on the Missouri side with its Missouri license plates.

One wonders if my friend will be discussing with her husband if they need to buy a gun.

It takes a special kind of (insert vile expletive here) to shoot a dog like that.

Hopefully they find this guy dead in a gutter someplace.

Glad to hear the dog is going to survive. Hope they catch these scumbags.

This made me think of the 911 audio clip of Marcus Luttrell chasing down the guys who shot his service dog. It is a good thing the cops caught those guys before the SEAL did.

This isn't too far from where I was a young boy. And if this dog was a Golden as pictured and is a therapy dog as mentioned in the article, this dog probably put up no resistance and gave the burglar no reason to shoot him. That was probably done out of pure meanness.
