Police Imposter in Friendswood

Post by WildBill »

I haven't heard of this happening for a while, but it did.

FRIENDSWOOD, TX (KTRK) -- We have an important warning after a police impersonator tried pulling a woman over on Saturday.

It happened near FM 528 and Bay Area Boulevard. The woman was on her way home when a white Ford Crown Victoria began flashing red and blue lights, which seemed different than most police cars.

She says there was no spotlight, and there were markings on the car that appeared to be scratched off.

A white man in a faded shirt and blue jeans approached her car flashing a badge. The victim was convinced something wasn't right so she took off, went home and called police.

If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, call police right away or drive to a nearby police station.
