Thanking a San Antonio Movie Theater

Post by Jilly »

I went to a movie last week in San Antonio.

I was very relieved to see that the theater still allows for the legal carry of hand guns.

Today, I send the Corporate Office an online message, thanking them for allowing the legal carry.
I let them know that I felt safer in their theater because I was allowed to carry.
I think it is important that businesses hear from us.

The Santikos website has a link to send a message about "your experience" at the theater.

Often, businesses will respond to the "loudest bark".
The opposition (opposing the legal carry) is very loud.
We also need to be heard.
Very clearly and very respectfully. :tiphat:

How do you know that they "allow" carry, vs. they just hadn't put up any signage? Meaning, did someone tell you that they allow it or are you assuming that they are in support? Unfortunately there have been situations where businesses put up signage after being made aware that they should or could ban it. I would rather not say anything UNLESS I was certain that they were in support of it.

They did have one sign and it is the sign that says that the illegal carry of weapons is prohibited, or words to that effect.

Okay, but that doesn't mean that they "allow" licensed carry as they could be clueless about needing a 30.06 sign and thought that they had banned it. Or maybe it's not that at all. That's what I was referring to. Many folks here are likely to suggest letting sleeping dogs lay. :tiphat:

Yup, I agree. If a place doesn't have signs up, or has incorrect signs up I keep my mouth closed. Now if they have a sign up that says conceal carriers are welcome or something then that would be a different story.
