SC: 13 year old stands his ground gets in shootout with 2 BG
SC: 13 year old stands his ground gets in shootout with 2 BG
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/201 ... pect-dead/
Two men with lengthy criminal histories picked the wrong house to break into. A 13 year old was home alone while his mom worked. The two men began breaking in. He grabbed his mom's shotgun, which he had never fired, and defended his home. He exchanged gun fire with the bad guys who ran off, leaving a .45 behind in the back yard. One BG was dropped off at a hospital where he later died.
Funny how these news stories never make the nightly news.

This says a Glock 9mm.

The bad guy was allergic to buckshot.

Would like to know what the "moms demanding action for gun sense" think about this. If they had their way, it's possible that a mother would be without her 13 year old son tonight.

They would probably want the mother charged for leaving a gun accessible to a minor. It's not the kid they care about.JagsfanNtexas wrote:Would like to know what the "moms demanding action for gun sense" think about this. They will ignore it because things like this never really happen. Anyone who thinks they do is just delusional.JagsfanNtexas wrote:Would like to know what the "moms demanding action for gun sense" think about this. Just another case of claiming something is "For the children" when it's really about their own agenda.rtschl wrote:They would probably want the mother charged for leaving a gun accessible to a minor. It made the news when it happened a month or two ago.
Luckily, I have enough willpower to control the driving ambition that rages within me.

That's the liberal mindset, (anything is better than guns).JagsfanNtexas wrote:Would like to know what the "moms demanding action for gun sense" think about this. If they had their way, it's possible that a mother would be without her 13 year old son tonight.

One thug got exactly what he needed. According to the article both of these thugs had "assault with intent to kill" under their list of convictions. Maybe we need to start holding our Justice Department responsible for turning predators loose on Society.

Ok, I'm having issues here. Don't get me wrong, I think the guy got what both should have. It saves on court costs. One newspapers article had the 13 yr old good guy (way to go son) shooting a shotgun & the other had him using a 9mm. Now I realize (insert bulk sarcasm) that all 'guns' look alike but, even they must know SOMEONE who can tell the difference. I know I'm getting old & apparently going senile but, maybe if some of the existing laws were actually enforced by the courts then things like this may not happen to 13 yr old children.

Just wondering
Why wouldn't the DA charge Mr. Bennett (The one who lived) with murder?
Someone (his partner) died while he (and his dead partner) were attempting to commit a felony.
