Got a call from a DPS supervisor. Yeehaw!

My first post on this forum!

Timeline (btw, I had an arrest from 15 years ago w/a few naughty things, so my file wasn't necessarily an easy one)

1) Submitted docs on 1/21
2) The eternal wait began
3) Engaged Greg Abbott and my local state senator's office for help--on 3 occassions because the DPS wouldn't respond to anything
4) The state senator's office was AWESOME in helping me and diligent with the follow-up. (Abbott was a waste of time)
5) 4/7, got a call from a DPS supervisor indicating my CHL app was just approved and it's gone to print

Btw--no website status change thru the whole process, but I'm not too worried based on what I've been reading there.

Sweet.... Congrats. As a frame of reference, mine card was sent to print on 4/5/16 and my status changed on 4/7/18. Still waiting on plastic, but I'm hoping for tomorrow.

Mine went to print on 4/1 and my status didn't change until 4/7.
