Right on! After you choose a position, train accessing the knife and getting it into action from different positions..... sitting, laying on your back, standing, etc... Then you can see the advantages and disadvantages of your carry location. This is a vital self-test and a chance to re-evaluate your choice.flintknapper wrote: Regardless of where you carry....be certain to do so consistently (not back pocket one time, front pocket next).
If you ever need your knife, you'll want to be able to access it quickly (no fumbling or searching).
Keep it sharp!
Very true about not changing which pocket you keep your knife in. Some people that will notice this, and wonder what is going on.fm2 wrote:Right on! I like it to be somewhere in the front. There's less joint articulation on the drawstroke.
That being said, I am a HUGE fan of the small fixed blade knife for self defense. It's simple and robust. There's just gross motor skills to get it into action.
