SOLD: Sig 239 in 9mm

Post by Jose_in_Dallas »

I have up for sale a used Sig 239 in 9mm. Unknown round count. I bought it back in March while I was in the hospital and simply have not had the chance to take it out to the range since then. But I have dry fired it (with snap caps if it matters) and carried it around the house a lot and found it was not really what I was looking for in a small EDC gun. I have been wanting a Sig for a long time and when I came across this one I thought it would be what I wanted, a Sig small enough to carry more comfortably than my 1911 or Glock 21. Unfortunately it's heavier than i thought it would be for a single stack, compact 9mm. And I didn't care for the DA/SA trigger. I have since picked up a Talo Edition Glock 43 (also unfired) that seems to fit what I'm looking for more so this has to go.

So I haven't shot it but I've carried it some around the house. It has the regular non-night three dot sights. According to the box, it was manufactured in 2008 in Germany. Comes with two 8 round magazines and one extended 10 round magazine. For some reason, the box doesn't seal tightly on both of the front corners. Not sure why but it's the way I received it. If you can use it, I'll throw in the Comp-Tac MTAC shell (valued at $25) but you have to buy the MTAC leather backing that cost $60 from Comp-Tac. I'm asking SOLD for the 239, local DFW pickup.

If this is still available when my "slush fund" is up a bit more I may just take this. I have always had a soft spot for the model.

Any interest in a glock 43 with some greenbacks thrown in?

Just read the entirety of your post to the realization you already have a 43.

I don't know the current market on used G43's, but you could always buy this gun and then sell your G43, or do it in reverse order. Just a thought. Personally, I love my G43, and may sell my Kahr PM9.

Sorry just saw this. Wish I would have posted this before buying the 43, might have been easier for me. But finding a new Talo 43 locally was to hard to pass up. I'm going to give it another week before I post this up on Texas Gun Trader. Rather sell it here than hassle with people over there.

I was actually making a suggestion for the guy who offered a trade for his G43. And for what it's worth, I agree with you on the G43. I got one a little while ago and it will likely replace my Kahr PM9 in the carry rotation.

Heck, if I could ever sell my PM9, I might jump on this, had one a few years ago, bought it just to take my CHL class with, sold it, few months later, should have kept, paid peanuts for it.

Ya that's the way I understood it. Sorry if it didn't come out clearer (I should have posted this up for sale and asked for a G43 in trade).

Man it's really a nice gun and these Sigs are built like a tank. But I mentioned why this doesn't work for me :(

curious if you are willing to ship through an FFL. I'm in the Houston area, so I can't pick up in person. Purchased an AR-15 from MadMonkey a few month back, shipped to an FFL. Let me know.

I have been looking for a concealable, DA/SA 9mm. Was looking at an M11-A1 Friday at the dealer. This price is too good to pass up if my wife will let me spend for it.

I'm willing to ship and an FFL isn't required if it's pistol and in state, I talked to an FFL buddy of mine who told me this. I bought it from a guy in San Antonio and he shipped it directly to me via FedEx.

I think I referenced this thread on the board when I was looking to do this earlier in the year.

But I can ship via an FFL if you are more comfortable doing it that way. Either way, if you are willing to pay any fees and actual shipping, I'm game. Message me and we can discuss this further. Thanks.

That's the way PMs work here. They stay in your outbox until the recipient reads it. :tiphat:

Ahh, thank you sir. I figured that it had to move all the way to sent before it could be received.
