Howdy guys I am looking around now for a new toy that goes bang. I don't really know if I want to add a new pistol to the collection or I want to add a new rifle or throw money into a rifle of mine. If I was looking at pistols I'd look at getting maybe another Glock 19 or I have been looking at the sig P226 in 9mm. Also I have been looking at adding an AK variant to cause. Specifically the century arms N-pap AK. I just don't know what I want to do this time. There are so many guns on the list and not enough time or money! I wanna here your gun list so it can give me things to look at and consider and lead up to making a bad decision lol

Just buy one of each kind, that way you can join the 3% club of gun owners, and then as you work your way through the ones you like, and don't like you can then donate the ones you don't want to some of the disenfranchised gun owners who are made to feel inferior by being in the other 97%.
There are way too many choices for deciding on guns, but like everything else, it will come down to your personal preferences, and intended uses for them.
Hunting
Home Defense
Recreational Shooting
Concealed Carry (could vary depending on clothing choices)
You will also want to look at how easy/affordable the gun(s) can be customized, availability of replacement parts, and customer service from the manufacturer. When I am deciding on a new gun, I go through a similar list to help narrow down my choices. Asking others to recommend guns is fine, but I would only ask for recommendations for a much narrower group after paring down the list. JMHO

Get something ridiculous like a Judge or Governor. .410 from a revolver, because why not?

Then it's time to get into Black Powder - lots of bang and smoke

Every time I shoot mine I wonder to myself "How in the world did they fight wars with these???" I can't see a dang thing after the first shot or two.oohrah wrote:Then it's time to get into Black Powder - lots of bang and smoke
They are a lot of fun though and will certainly start up a conversation at the range.

I bought a Glock 19 to pair with a Kel Tec Sub 2000 that takes G17 mags. I wasn't sure about it, as I have never really cared for Glocks. Now that I own one and have shot it more, I love the thing. It has become my daily carry. If you can find one for retail, the Sub 2000 is also a really fun gun to shoot. It's also nice to have a rifle that will store very easily. On the other hand, I have always kinda wanted an AK.

Although I like Andy's suggestion I'd say get something that you don't have that you always wanted. Maybe something you liked as a kid or read about from history. I read quite a bit about WWII starting in 5th grade and then about 2 years ago finally obtained a Garand. I just took it out again this past Friday and it shoots incredible. Of all that I have it probably puts the biggest smile on my face when I shoot it because I've read about it and known about it the longest.

I think that would just be ANY gun in general. Especially if it's one used to help teach others to appreciate guns.AndyC wrote:Buy whatever would upset Hillary the most first.

Well there are two guns that I have wanted for a while which are the Sig P226 in 9mm or the AK. My dad has always boasted about his AK and how he loves it and how he can shoot it all the time and it never break the bank. The AK is just awesome...... i don't shoot my AR very much because the ammo cost is more and I want a rifle I can shoot all the time cheap besides 22LR. Now the only thing that worries me is if I buy the AK I better stock up on the ammo and Mags because at any day they could ban the import of ammo and guns. I just don't know! I do know the AK would really make Hillary angry lol

I saw a television documentary that postulated than dense clouds of smoke contributed to the British defeat at Isandlwana. That's the battle that preceded the Battle of Roark's Drift, which was shown in the movie "Zulu" with Michael Caine.Keith Bilbrey wrote:Every time I shoot mine I wonder to myself "How in the world did they fight wars with these???" There are just several guns I want that include the AK and sig I just don't know! Hard hard decisions!
Re: This might start at debate
I'm down to 2 on the "need" list.
1. A pocket pistol that will be either a Sig P938 or a Glock G43.
2. An O/U shotgun, either a Beretta 686 Silver Pigeon or a Browning Cynergy Featherweight.
