Main carry knife
I carry one of these three....
Benchmade Mini-Rukus
Benchmade 940SBK Osborne
Benchmade 553 SBK Grippilian (sp?)
I have been rotating them since I love all three but am wondering if I should have one main carry knife. The Osborne is beautiful but tends to get scratched-up more than the other two. It is also the lightest and easiest to carry. The 553 is actually awesome even though it is by far the least expensive of the Benchmade bunch. The Mini-Rukus is a brute but the most bulky.
What is everyone's favorite knife and why?
I also have cheap CRKT Kasper Crawford that I keep in the truck. I got it for under $20 on close-out and it is a great knife for the money.

In a world of compromise, some men don't.

There was a great discussion on this a while back....you might enjoy what folks had to say and there are some really neat pictures.

Nothing wrong with carrying different knives...but I would offer a bit of advice for sake of a rapid/reliable presentation: Try to carry the knife the same place on your person, orient the clip so that the knife chosen is always "tip up" or "tip down" (whichever you prefer) and be certain to practice opening it (to the point that it is ingrained into muscle memory).
There are many good knives out there to choose from, but they are all next to useless....if you don't practice with them a little.
Spartans ask not how many, but where!

...just like your guns.
There will always be prayer in schools as long as there are tests.

Knife
I've carried many knives over the years, but I am spoiled by my CRKT M16-14T. It is my favorite knife along with my always handy Swiss Army Champ pocket tool.
I do practice placing and employing the CRKT almost daily. With practice, it is also a good thrower at limited distances.
