I have one and it is a nice gun. It is comparable in price to the Kimber UCII (which I also have).
Mine has the Rail (PC9802L).

Didn't really want the Rail, but that's what I got. MSRP is 1363.00 but they sell for around 1100-1200 in the shops. Mine was new but the dealer took out the light in order to sell it quicker and I got it for 929.00. You should be able to get the PX9161L for around the same price.
The black finish is a bit fragile. I already see some small chips of the finish around the magwell.
If I had it to do over again, I would probably have waited and looked for the all stainless version without Rail.

One reason is the fragile black finish and also it is difficult to find holsters for the Rail Model.
It shoots good. I found it to shoot about 2" low at 15 yards (but a very nice tight group). I filed down the front sight a bit rather than sending it back. No Jams or failure to eject in mine.
You can use a Wilson Combat 7 round mag in it.
I have heard that some of these have problems. So, I guess I got a good one.
Regardless, Springfield C/S is the best there is and will make anything wrong - right. That is if you want to send it to them (which I didn't).
The slim wooden grips are really, REALLY nice! BEAUTIFUL COLOR!
