Castle Doctrine
Hey Guys, I hope I'm not opening a thread that's been talked about a bunch. However I was wondering at what age the castle doctrine comes into effect. I did a quick forum search and didn't find my answer, so I hope this hasn't been discussed at length and i missed it. My son is almost 17 and I was ...

Help finding audio file
There was audio file link posted here on the forum a year ago or so and I would like to have the link again if possible. It was an audio file of a young lady's 911 call while the intruder was in her home. She had just borrowed a firearm from a friend that day or the day before and it ended up saving ...

6.8 Question
Anyone out there reloading the 6.8 SPC for use in the AR? If so what OAL is a safe standard to eliminate feed issues through the magazine. Gonna buy the upper this week along with the magazines so I don't have the magazine to check em with. Just wanted to see what the consensus was. Thanks Bryan

Re: Gunsmith recommendation in Lubbock Area
I'll swing by there and see if he has a recommendation. As for Gander, I called them and was told they no longer have a gunsmith. I was quite surprised because I've heard that the fellow that was there before was good. Thanks for the quick reply.

Re: New Daily Carry
Thanks for the tip on the take down tool. And for the amount of time it took to talk my wife into letting me get it, I don't care if I hit the guy's target next to me .....I'm gonna carry it.

Re: November 2010 Applications
Yes Jeff that is normal. It will say that until they actually get your info in the system.( 2-3 weeks). On a side note I've had my plastic now for about two weeks and the website still shows fingerprints and BGC still under review.

Finally got to Walmart after having had the plastic for a few days. I had the In-laws in town and with us so no pics.I did make the gun counter and priced some ammo. They only had one box total of .45 and it was $38 dollar a box so I let em keep it. Messed around in the christmas lights section for ...

Re: XDM 45 on sale at Gander
Sorry if I mis-spoke. Very well aware of what a 1911 is .(and isn't) Simply was referring to the hammer fired "style" . Yes this is for CCW. It is the compact version with 3.9 inch barrel and under 30 ounces.Pic is in "pictures of daily carry" thread.
