240,000 rounds per minute
Sounds more like a Fire Hose than a gun. In fact that's what they should call it. "The Fire Hose".

First of all, the cyclic rates of most machine guns are well above 60 rounds per minute, I can shoot my semi-autos that fast and have been known to approach that rate with a pump shotgun. That kind of error always makes me suspicious of the rest of the article.

Secondly, although the cyclic rate would be on the order of 240,000 rounds per minute, it would only last for however many rounds were stacked in a barrel and however many barrels were bundled. Yes it would deliver a lot of bullets fast, but not for very long. "Once fired, however, each spent barrel has to be reloaded."

Saw an article about them a while back, maybe in Popular Mechanics, and the disadvantages were covered quite well. This thing would be a special purpose weapon, not in the hands of regular troops.
