From the Residence Hall Handbook:
Weapons/Firearms
Students may NOT bring into the residence halls, for any reason, any firearm, illegal
knife, club, or any other weapon (not restricted to legal definitions) which may be
hazardous to the health or safety of residents. This includes, but is not limited to: rifles
(including drill rifles), shotguns, pistols, pellet guns, paintball guns, taser/stun guns, BB
guns, bows and arrows, sling shots, martial arts weapons such as nun chucks or throwing
stars, axes, machetes, swords, spears, switchblades, or knives with a blade 4 inches or
longer. Residence hall staff or University Police may confiscate these items. In addition,
items which are legally defined as weapons may not be stored in vehicles which are
parked on University property.

Not much info there regarding concealed weapons or storage, sorry. I would suggest a phone call to the Department of Resident Life, or maybe the Campus Police.

Tecumseh, you probably already know this but in case you don't, you can store your gun in your car on campus. It's not the best idea, because of the theft risk, but it's legal. The combination of a CHL, a well-mounted car safe with a handgun in it may be your best alternative. Just don't make it an expensive handgun.

Great safes for the car...I don't want to beat this to death, but I have not seen the URL posted in a while. My wife and I both have one of these mounted in our vehicles. Take care.

Unfortunately I dont have a car. And if I did my only handguns are expensive HKs. And to top it off where am I gonna put my Mossberg?

My current scholl has lockers in the police station for weapons storage. I was shocked at this because SIU is a very liberal place. But hey I didnt mind.

Thanks for all of the information. I will jsut start looking off campus. I have to decide where to go first.
