As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

That's the possum amendment, already sponsored by Al Franken and Nancy Pelosi I believe.

You reminded me of something a bear hunter once told me. You don't have to outrun the bear, just the other hunters with you. :tiphat:

That's a zombie survival rule too. When you're being chased by zombies, you don't have to be the fastest runner. You just need to be faster than the slowest runner.

Me? I'm gonna get eaten. I can't run to save my life. :smilelol5:

Even though I can't run, I would be safe; they just want brains. :headscratch

I'm not sure...you may think you're jesting....but that is exactly what a school principal told a coworker his son should do when attacked at school. That's the liberal way.

I was trying to think of the absolute worst advice I could to kind of go along with the tone of that article, and that's what I ended up with. I never even considered a liberal might think it would be a good thing to do while getting attacked!

I had another tongue-in-cheek amendment that if you were getting attacked and could find a weapon, to use it on yourself and quickly finish the attacker's job...but I don't want to give the libs any more bright ideas.

Maybe something ole Dr. Kevorkian would have branched into ... a new line of self preservation weaponry..oop... self pres....hmmmm :headscratch right to die under one's own hand...tuck, roll, self-afflict, repeat.

Oh, forgot...you can be arrested for suicide...attempted suicide. Guess it's best to run away...

I thought it was a joke when then governor George Bush put such a requirement in an education bill back in the late 90's. You couldn't be charged with a fighting assault if you were running or possum'ed up getting the crap kicked out of you. The bullies started having a field day with the good kids. I hope the laws and school rules have changed, but I haven't kept up with it since my youngest graduated in '99. Never voted for him again.

Thank you for the great rise in blood pressure with this article. I read it and was getting more and more angry... :mad5

I had to take a break and get some water.

All better now
