I was trying to think of the absolute worst advice I could to kind of go along with the tone of that article, and that's what I ended up with. I never even considered a liberal might think it would be a good thing to do while getting attacked!

I had another tongue-in-cheek amendment that if you were getting attacked and could find a weapon, to use it on yourself and quickly finish the attacker's job...but I don't want to give the libs any more bright ideas.

I thought it was a joke when then governor George Bush put such a requirement in an education bill back in the late 90's. You couldn't be charged with a fighting assault if you were running or possum'ed up getting the crap kicked out of you. The bullies started having a field day with the good kids. I hope the laws and school rules have changed, but I haven't kept up with it since my youngest graduated in '99. Never voted for him again.
